Who ever said all Presidents were smart?
by Sheara WilenskyFiled under: Real Estate
“I just don’t see the benefit at this time to attract business from internet searches.”
I kid you not, this was emailed to me by the President of Manhattan-based private commercial lender, Park Avenue Funding, after meeting to discuss implementing an SEO and PPC plan of action on a website that gets under 10 hits a month.
For one minute, move beyond the stupidity of this statement alone.
One would think, that in the midst of a nationwide mortgage crisis, when conduit lenders are being overly conservative about making new loans, a boutique firm would jump at the opportunity to double, even triple their business through online lead generation! After all, in a market where the big banks won’t make loans, real estate borrowers are turning to alternate sources of financing.
I really don’t think I ever read such an assinine comment.
Oh well. At least I got a blog post out of this.

As a follow up to this post - I’d just like to state, that last week at the Real Estate Connect conference, Pam Leibman, CEO of The Corcoran Group, stated: “Everything we think about here, is to drive traffic to our website”!!!
