Those who are currently serving on the Board of Directors must be nominated and re-elected to retain their current seats. The current Board is recommending SEMPO change its policy for Board Members to serve a two-year term, rather than one year, to provide greater flow and continuity of ideas and actions. All individuals elected this year will serve a two-year term if this change is approved.
The nomination period opened yesterday (January 9th) and will close on January 18th. The complete list of nominees will be posted on SEMPO’s homepage after the nomination period closes.
The election period runs from February 6th to February 15th, and the newly elected Board will take office on March 1st, 2008.
