The Internet Marketers of New York will be holding another charity party on October 6, 2008. The Internet Marketers of New York is a small trade organization of less than 20 members. We are pleased to have been active members and participants since it’s inception in 2006. The event, to coincide with the first night of Search Marketing Expo East, will be held at Social Bar (795 8th Avenue between 48th and 49th), from the hours of 8-midnight. Special thanks to our friends who are planning and sponsoring the event: 10e20, Best of the Web, GoodROI, Incisive, Kangamurra Media, Search Engine Journal, SEOmoz, Sugarrae, Sure Hits, and We Build Pages. Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House.

The Best of the Web / IMNY Party at Black Finn Last Tuesday, March 18th, 2007 was fantastic! The networking event took place in the evening of Day 2 of Search Engine Strategies NY. A total of $16,494 was raised…the most amount raised at any event to date…for the benefit of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. In addition to the $40 admission tickets, raffle tickets were sold to bring in extra money for the cause. Raffle prizes included 6 passes to upcoming SES and SMX Conferences, and a Nintendo Wii!

Special thanks to our friends Greg Niland and Neil Patel for their efforts in arranging the event, and thank you to the members of the search community for participating.

Hope to see everyone at the next charity event in October!

IMNY Charity Event, Spread the Word

On Tuesday, March 18th 2008, Best of the Web will be hosting another charity event. Tickets are $40 each, and this time around, the search community will be voting on the charity from the following choices:

HMBANA Milk Banks, a non-profit which collect, screens and sends out breast milk to micro-preemies and premature infants who were born too early for their mother to provide them with milk.
Camp Interactive, a technology-focused summer program for underprivileged youth.
The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, dedicated to funding blood cancer research to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s and myeloma.
National Association for Colitis and Crohn’s Disease, which provides support for those affected and raises funds for research into a cure.

The party will take place at Black Finn NY, located at 218 East 53rd Street, New York, NY. 8pm – midnight. The last charity event was very successful and a great time, so spread the word. For those of you who will be in town for the SES NY conference March 17-20, be sure to come to the BOTW Party.

We at Promediacorp would like to express our thanks to Greg Niland, chairman of the Internet Marketers of New York, and Best of the Web for coordinating the successful fundraiser for the Luekemia and Lymphoma Society. Together, search and social marketers from around the globe raised thousands of dollars for the cause. The event was an excellent kickoff for the inagural SMX – Social media conference which took place this week right here in New York City.

As always, it was great seeing our fellow colleagues and friends. A big shout out to Danny Sullivan who never fails to entertain and inspire us all. Danny and his partners Chris Elwell and Sean Knight from Third Door Media continue to amaze us with their conference series’ and their committment to their community.
