In 1998, Promediacorp founder Avi Wilensky discovered the awesome power of the search engine as a marketing tool.

As Chief Executive Officer of External Solutions, Inc., a manufacturer of external optical drives, Avi was able to leverage search engine marketing to achieve exponential growth of product sales. Utilizing novel search engine strategies, he acquired high profile clients including Boeing, Sun Microsystems, IBM, Ericsson, Lockheed Martin, US Department of Defense, Stanford University, and the Los Alamos Nuclear Laboratory.

After leaving External Solutions in 2002, Avi Wilensky founded Promediacorp to focus on helping other businesses achieve web visibility via search engine marketing. Since then, he has been a dedicated and active member of the SEO community, having contributed his knowledge to colleagues and forums across the search industry. A regular conference attendee, speaker and blogger, Avi epitomizes the true definition of a search marketing guru.

In November, 2005, Avi joined the executive research committee for The Search Engine Marketing Professionals Organization (SEMPO). Avi is also a member of the Internet Marketers of New York, an organization for internet professionals in the New York area.

Avi Wilensky holds a B.A. in Psychology, Economics and a Certification in E-Commerce Management from Rutgers University. He enjoys the great outdoors, mountain biking, fishing, traveling, gardening and chess.
